Abstract:
Provided is a blower in which a reduction in the size of a housing and an improvement in ease of assembly are achieved by configuring a blower fan and a motor as a unit. This blower includes a housing 2 which internally accommodates a motor 25 and a blower fan 32, and which is provided with an intake port for intake of an airflow into the interior, and a tubular exhaust port 12 for exhausting the airflow toward the front side, wherein the motor 25 and the fan 32 are accommodated in a main body portion 3 of the housing 2 as an assembly 20 incorporated into a motor case 21. A brushless DC motor is adopted as the motor 25, and a motor circuit board 36 is mounted on the front side of the motor 25. A semiconductor switching element is mounted on the motor circuit board 36, and the motor is driven at 40,000 revolutions/second or more.
