Abstract:
A pedometer (100A) has a sensor unit (150) fixedly placed so as to detect a body
motion in the direction of a predetermined detection axis and also has a body casing
where the sensor unit (150) is received. The detection axis of the sensor unit
(150) is placed with an inclination angle relative to an attachment surface (122)
of the body casing which surface is attached to a human body. The inclination angle
is within a detectable angle range of the sensor unit (150). A reduction in measurement
accuracy caused by variation in conditions of attachment of the pedometer on
users, which variation occurs due to the body shapes of a users, is prevented,
and the pedometer is inexpensive and small sized.
