Abstract:

This body side panel comprises: a metallic hat-shaped panel member; another metallic panel member; and a reinforcement member made of resin. The hat-shaped panel member has a hat-shaped cross-section part comprising: a top section; edge sections; and intermediate sections that connect the top section and the edge sections. The hat-shaped cross-section part is joined to the other panel member at the edge sections, and forms a closed space together with the other panel member. The reinforcement member is disposed so as to be joined to at least one of the top section and the intermediate sections inside the closed space. The hat-shaped panel member has corner parts between the edge sections and the intermediate sections. The rigidity of the portions of the other panel member corresponding to the corner parts is higher than the rigidity of the corner parts.
