Abstract:
[Problem] To enable realization of a body-worn gait detection device, a walking ability improvement system, and a body-worn gait detection system that detect symptoms of brain disease onset at an early stage on the basis of gait of a wearer so as to allow preventive measures to be taken accordingly. [Solution] The present invention is provided with: a load measurement unit which measures a load exerted on the feet bottoms of a wearer; a foot movement detection unit which detects acceleration and/or angular velocity of each foot during the movement thereof; a barycentric position calculation unit which calculates a barycentric position of each foot on the basis of a change in the load measured by the load measurement unit; a movement trajectory calculation unit which calculates a movement trajectory of each foot on the basis of the acceleration and/or angular velocity detected by the foot movement detection unit; an onset symptom recognition unit which recognizes symptoms of brain disease onset in accordance with a peculiarity of the barycentric variation of each foot on the basis of the calculated barycentric position and movement trajectory of the foot; and a sensory output unit which transmits feedback as a sensation to be felt by the wearer on the basis of the recognition result yielded by the manifesting symptom recognition unit.
