Abstract:
After release for releasing the braking state of a parking brake is started by processing in step 2, fluid pressure maintenance control is performed by an ESC (11) in next step 3. As a result, the fluid pressure in a cylinder part (46) is increased with the retraction of a piston (49) of a disk brake (41). When it is determined in step 4 that the release of the parking brake has been completed, the fluid pressure maintenance control by the ESC (11) is cancelled in step 5. By temporarily increasing the fluid pressure in the cylinder part (46) of the disk brake (41), the elastic deformation amount of a piston seal (56) is increased, thereby making it possible to obtain a sufficient rollback function.
