Abstract:
The present invention comprises: a master cylinder 130 that produces a master pressure in accordance with the movement of master pistons 133, 134 which are mechanically linked to the operation of a brake pedal 11; and a control unit 61 configured to be capable of executing automatic brake control that causes a vehicle to decelerate when the brake pedal 11 is not being operated. During the automatic brake control, the control unit 61 executes specific control for supplying brake fluid from hydraulic units 57, 97 in a state in which a valve to be closed, which is one of a first solenoid valve 51 and a second solenoid valve 91, is controlled to an aperture based on a target deceleration, and a valve to be opened, which is the other of the first solenoid valve 51 and the second solenoid valve 91, is controlled to an aperture greater than the aperture corresponding to the target deceleration.
