Abstract:

An electronic control unit (30) detects, by the inputs from the road surface to left and right front wheels (11, 12) and left and right rear wheels (13, 14) with the traveling of a vehicle (Ve), the unsprung vertical acceleration generated in the unsprung portion of the vehicle (Ve) including the respective wheels (11 to 14). Then, the electronic control unit (30) employs the detected unsprung vertical acceleration to calculate the front and rear force generated in the respective wheels (11 to 14) and estimate the front and rear vibration generated in the respective wheels (11 to 14). Meanwhile, the electronic control unit (30) employs the detected unsprung vertical acceleration to calculate the front and rear vibration suppressing force for absorbing the front and rear vibration. Then, the electronic control unit (30) subtracts the calculated front and rear vibration suppressing force from the calculated front and rear force , and controls the output torques of in-wheel motors (19 to 22) via an inverter (23) to operate the in-wheel motors (19 to 22). Accordingly, front and rear vibration in the unsprung portion of the vehicle (Ve) can be effectively suppressed, thereby making it possible to improve comfortable riding in the vehicle (Ve).
