Abstract:
To obtain a branch connector with which it is possible to prevent cable breakage even when subjected to a vibration or a shock. A branch connector (1), characterized in having a pair of divided housings capable of opening and closing with respect to each other, a relay contact (40) supported by the pair of divided housings and electrically connected to a cable guided to the pair of divided housings when the pair of divided housings are in a closed state, and a cable-holding part for holding the cable, the cable-holding part being formed on the pair of divided housings and having: a tight cable-holding part on the side nearer the relay contact (40), the tight cable-holding part holding the cable so that the radial movement thereof is relatively smaller when the pair of divided housings are in a closed state; and a loose cable-holding part on the side farther from the relay contact (40), the loose cable-holding part holding the cable so that the radial movement thereof is greater when the pair of divided housings are in a closed state.
