Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a branch-cutting saw that can easily and reliably cut thin and thick branches, branches that are difficult to reach with shears, branches in dense clusters, etc. This branch-cutting saw cuts by drawing a saw blade part 11 back and forth while hooking a hook part 22 on a branch and pressing the hook part 22 towards the saw blade part 11. The hook part 22 is configured so as to be pivotally supported on the leading end part of a sheath body 20 and spring-loaded to hold a hook-part regular position Fs in a longitudinal-direction region Rf of the sheath body 20, and is also configured so as to be rotationally displaced from the hook-part regular position Fs when a load greater than or equal to the aforementioned spring force is applied against the spring force. The saw blade part 11 of the saw body 10 is configured so as to be spring-loaded such that the leading end thereof is held in a saw-blade-part regular position Ns at a position retracted beyond the hook part 22, and is also configured such that operation of a grip part of the saw body against the aforementioned spring force advances the saw blade part 11 forward from the saw-blade-part regular position Ns.
