Title:
BRANCHED AMINO ACID TRANSPORTER GENE AND USE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/097093
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A branched amino acid transporter gene and use thereof, in particular, a brewing yeast in which the branched amino acid metabolism ability is regulated, alcoholic drinks produced by using the yeast, a method of producing these alcoholic drinks and so on. More specifically speaking, a yeast in which the branched amino acid metabolism ability is regulated by regulating the expression amount of a gene BAP3 encoding Bap3p that is a branched amino acid transporter in a brewing yeast ( in particular, nonScBAP3 gene characteristic to beer yeast), a method of producing alcoholic drinks by using this yeast and so on.
