Abstract:

A brazing filler material which comprises palladium, a metal capable of forming a solid solution with palladium in any ratio and phosphorus as main components, wherein platinum and nickel are used as the metal capable of forming a solid solution with palladium in any ratio. The brazing filler material preferably comprises about 3 to about 17 wt.% of phosphorus, about 5 to about 85 wt.% of platinum and about 5 to about 32 wt.% of nickel.
