Abstract:
A breaker 1 comprises: a sheet-shaped first terminal tab 2 having a first connection face 22a and a stationary contact 21; a movable tab that presses a movable contact against the stationary contact 21 to create contact; a heat-responsive element 5 that deforms with changes in temperature to actuate the movable tab so that the movable contact separates from the stationary contact 21; and a case 10 for housing the stationary contact 21, the movable tab, and the heat-responsive element. The breaker 1 further comprises a heat-detecting part 28 that detects heat on the exterior of the case 10 and conducts the heat to the heat-responsive element. The heat-detecting part 28 has a detection face 28a on a side in a first direction D1 facing the heat-responsive element with respect to the movable tab. The first terminal tab 2 has a first bent part 26 such that the first connection face 22a is positioned further in a second direction D2, opposite the first direction D1, than the stationary contact 21.
