The present application provides a broadcast signal receiving method and device. The method comprises: receiving a broadcast signal, wherein the broadcast signal is formed using an MMT/TLV (MPEG media transport/type-length-value) scheme by means of multiplexing video and audio signals of a broadcast program with an application function assigned to control information of the broadcast program; analyzing first control information and at least one piece of second control information in the control information comprised in the broadcast signal, and obtaining, as a desired piece of second control information, any one piece of second control information from the at least one piece of second control information; and using entry information of the desired piece of second control information to control the application function. The broadcast signal is formed using the MMT/TLV scheme by means of multiplexing the video and audio signals of the broadcast program with the application function assigned to the control information of the broadcast program, thereby providing an MPT (MMT package table) and an application service descriptor corresponding to highly functionalized data content services.
