Abstract:
Provided is a brush seal device that can appropriately track displacements in the radial direction of a rotating shaft, prevents leakage of a sealed fluid, prevents wear to a brush seal and the like, and also prevents leakage of the sealed fluid from the outer peripheral side. The brush seal device (100) integrally has: an inner peripheral brush seal (120) having an inner-peripheral-side free end (125) and a brush (123) at the inner peripheral side; and an outer peripheral brush seal (140) having an outer-peripheral-side free end (145) and a brush (143) at the outer peripheral side. The inner-peripheral-side free end (125) of the inner peripheral brush seal (120) is disposed facing the outer peripheral surface (831) of the rotating shaft (830) and in a state of contact or propinquity to the outer peripheral surface (831), and the outer-peripheral-side free end (145) of the outer peripheral brush seal (140) is disposed facing the inner peripheral surface (811) of a housing (810) in a state of contact or propinquity to the inner peripheral surface (811).
