Abstract:
This battery control device, which controls the operation of a battery connected to a power grid, includes: a detection means that detects battery-related information representing the battery state or the state of an interconnection point between the power grid and the battery; a first communication means that transmits the detection results of the detection means to an external device, and that executes a reception process that receives operation control information for controlling the operation of the battery from an external device at predetermined time intervals; and a control means that, on the basis of the state of the power grid and the operation control information received by the first communication means, executes a battery operation control process for controlling the operation of the battery at a shorter time interval than the predetermined time interval.
