Abstract:
Provided is a cable gland that is capable of preventing, for a prolonged period of time, liquid such as rainwater from entering inside a housing. This cable gland 10 is for covering the circumference of a cable C1 to be inserted through a housing through-hole 101 of a housing 100, the cable gland being provided with: an elastic member 60 provided with an insertion hole 61 allowing the cable C1 to pass therethrough; a cylindrically-shaped casing 20 that holds the elastic member 60 from the outer circumferential side and that is disposed so as to surround the housing through-hole 101; a metallic ring-shaped member 71 disposed so as to be in contact with an end face of the elastic member 60; a film-like member 72 that is disposed integrally with or independently of the ring-shaped member 71, that elastically deforms more easily than the elastic member 60, and that is provided with a film through-hole 72a having a diameter smaller than those of the cable C1 and insertion hole 61; and a cylindrically-shaped cap body 30 that is mounted to the casing 20 and that presses the ring-shaped member 71 against the elastic member 60.
