Abstract:
A cache control device (200) has a area (2022) for Clean on a secondary cache data unit (202), wherein the area is allocated to store only the information identical to that stored on a main memory device (300). Further, the cache control device (200) monitors information on electric power consumption of the cache control device (200), judges whether the information on the electric power consumption is equal to or more than a predetermined threshold value, monitors an operation rate of a cache memory, and judges whether the operation rate is equal to or lower than a predetermined threshold value. Subsequently, the cache control device (200) control to degenerate the area (2022) for Clean on the secondary cache data unit (202) in the case where the information on the electric power consumption is judged to be equal to or more than the predetermined threshold value or in the case where the operation rate of the secondary cache memory is judged to be equal to or lower than the predetermined threshold value.
