A cage fixing type linear guide device, comprising a guide shaft having a ball rolling feed surface along the longitudinal direction, a slide member opposed to the guide shaft through a clearance and having a load rolling feed surface opposed to the ball rolling feed surface, a large number of balls rollingly fed under load between the ball rolling feed surface of the guide shaft and the load rolling feed surface of the slide member, and a cage positioned in the clearance between the guide shaft and the slide member, having a plurality of ball storage holes for rotatably storing the balls formed so as to be passed therethrough, fixed to the slide member, and moving in the axial direction of the guide shaft together with the slide member. Since a stroke for linear guiding is not limited, moving bodies can be continuously guided along the guide shaft.
