Abstract:
The present invention is provided with: a caliper body supported by a vehicle body; a brake block that moves back and forth relative to the caliper body, and is able to apply a friction force by coming into sliding contact with a disc; a guide plate that supports the brake block; an anchor pin that supports the guide plate in such a manner that the guide plate freely moves back and forth relative to the caliper body; a piston that moves back and forth relative to the caliper body, and is able to press the brake block via the guide plate; a diaphragm that is in contact with the rear surface of the piston, defines a pressure chamber inside the caliper body, and forces the piston to move as a result of being elastically deformed by the pressure of compressed air inside the pressure chamber; and a piston plate that supports the piston in such a manner that the piston is in slidable contact with the anchor pin.
