Abstract:
The present invention relates to a call protecting method for the personalized ring back tones in an intelligent network, wherein the said intelligent network comprises an intelligent network service control point (SSP), a service switching point (SSP) and an Intelligent Peripheral (IP), the method comprises: an IP-state detecting module is added to the IP for determining the availability of the IP; the IP-state detecting module sends a state-query request to the IP for checking whether the IP is available; if the IP returns a result of availability, the SCP will indicate the SSP to connect the call to the IP; if the SSP returns a result of unavailability or returns no IP-state detecting result on time, then the SSP will indicate the SCP to direct the call to the called rather than the IP. The invention eliminates the call-freeing phenomenon due to the IP state, and increases the call completing rate of the personalized ring back tune system, and therefore mitigates the problem that the user couldn't receive the call due to the use of personalized ring back tune.
