Abstract:
The device has the aim of providing a new cam device (1) that can be used in mold casting machines in which the active face (2) of the cam (1) faces downward to prevent sand and dirt from depositing between said cam (1) and the follower (10) of the cam included in the machine to bring about tilting of the machine. To this end, the cam (1) is hinged by one of its points (3) to a longitudinally displaceable frame (4). It is also hinged by another point (5) to a connecting rod (6), the opposite side of said rod being in turn hinged by point (8) to the tilting front plate (7) of the sand mold casting machine. The back end edge of the front plate (7) is hinged by point (9) to the frame (4).
