Abstract:
Provided are a camera calibration device and a camera calibration system which enable the burden on an operator, which is caused by an operation for transporting or installing calibration patterns in a calibration operation, to be greatly reduced, and a place where the calibration patterns are stored to be remarkably downsized. A camera calibration device is provided with: an image conversion unit (141) which converts images captured by respective cameras on the basis of a projection matrix for conversion into a bird's eye viewpoint on the basis of the initial parameters of the respective cameras to thereby generate converted images; an error evaluation unit (142) which calculates an error between a converted image by a reference camera selected from a plurality of cameras and a converted image by a camera other than the reference camera among the converted images; a projection matrix updating unit (143) which, on the basis of the error, updates the projection matrix such that images of a common image capture region by the respective cameras match; and a camera parameter calculation unit (145) which, on the basis of the updated projection matrix, calculates a camera parameter including an external parameter relating to the posture of each of the cameras with respect to the ground.
