　In order to reduce ESR and to increase the capacitance of a capacitor, the present invention is provided with an element that is wound by layering at least two positive-electrode-side electrode foils (36-1, 36-2) and at least two negative-electrode electrode foils (38-1, 38-2) in an alternating fashion with the electrode foil of one polarity being interposed between the electrode foils of the other polarity, and a separator (40) being sandwiched between the electrode foils of the positive- and negative-electrode sides. The element is provided with positive-electrode-side tabs (12, 22) leading out from one positive-electrode-side electrode foil, negative-electrode-side tabs (14, 32) leading out from one negative-electrode-side electrode foil, an external terminal (8) leading out from another positive-electrode-side electrode foil, and an external terminal (10) leading out from another negative-electrode-side electrode foil. At least one of the electrode foils of one polarity and at least two of the separators being disposed between the external terminal and the tabs of a different polarity, and the external terminal and the tabs of one polarity are disposed in a parallel fashion and are connected with respect to like polarity.
