Abstract:

Provided is a capacity control valve that has excellent energy efficiency and that has a large capacity. The capacity control valve includes: valve housings 10, 11 into which a suction fluid having a suction pressure Ps and a control fluid having a control pressure Pc are supplied; a solenoid 80; a CS valve 50 composed of a CS valve body 51 that partitions the inside of the valve housings 10, 11 into two spaces 15, 16 and that moves according to the suction pressure Ps of the suction fluid and the control pressure Pc of the control fluid, and further composed of a CS valve seat 10a with which the CS valve body 51 can be brought into contact; a propelling means 54 for propelling the CS valve body 51 in the closing direction of the CS valve 50; and a pilot valve 52 composed of a pilot valve body 53 to be driven by the solenoid 80, and of a pilot valve seat 11a with which the pilot valve body 53 can be brought into contact. The control fluid is caused to flow to the space 15 which is one of the two spaces 15, 16. The control fluid is caused to flow to the other space 16 through an orifice 51c. The fluid in the other space 16 can be discharged to the outside by the pilot valve 52.
