Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a carbon-coated steel material having oxidation resistance, sour resistance, and hydrogen induced cracking resistance, which can be formed by using a process for the heat treatment of a steel material; and a method for manufacturing same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a method for manufacturing a carbon-coated steel material, comprising the steps of: heat-treating a steel material by heating at 870-950 °C; and forming a carbon coating layer on the surface of the steel material by injecting a carrier gas and acetylene gas in a flow rate ratio of 5:1-25:1 in the state in which the steel material is heated, wherein the carbon coating layer has an R value of 1 or less, the R value being defined by a ratio (=ID/IG) of a D band to a G band in a Raman spectrum.
