Abstract:
Provided are a device and a method each for performing the compression or purification of a gas by allowing the gas to be sucked by a water stream such as circulating or discharged seawater, in which the gas is air or a gas containing carbon dioxide. When the gas is a gas containing carbon dioxide, the pressure of water used for the suction is reduced to diffuse carbon dioxide from the water and then the carbon dioxide is removed from the water.
