Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having superior input and output characteristics, even at low temperatures. In order to do so, the input and output characteristics of a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery at low temperatures are drastically improved by using, as the negative electrode active material in the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, composite particles (carbon material) that satisfy specific conditions and comprise graphite particles and carbon particles having a primary particle diameter of 3nm-500nm, said composite particles preferably further containing amorphous carbon.
