Abstract:
This cargo detection system uses a reading unit to read a label attached to cargo that is being conveyed, acquires information corresponding to the cargo, detects the cargo at a location that is further to the downstream side in the conveyance direction than the reading location of the reading unit, acquires information regarding the rotational speed of a rotary mechanism that rotates in conjunction with the conveyance, derives the time at which the cargo was present at the reading location on the basis of the information regarding the rotational speed, said time being within a prescribed range that is based on the time at which the cargo was detected, and specifies information corresponding to the cargo on the basis of said time and the distance between the reading location and a starting location for the detection.
