Abstract:
A hydraulic rotary machine (1) according to one embodiment includes a rotary shaft (11), and a casing (2) that accommodates a cylinder block (4) and a swash plate (5). Furthermore, the hydraulic rotary machine (1) includes a servo piston (7) that changes the angle of the swash plate (5), and an electric actuator (8) that drives the servo piston (7). The electric actuator (8) includes a screw shaft (84), a nut (83), and an electric motor (86). The rotation angle of the electric motor (86) is detected by a rotation angle sensor (16), and the electric motor (86) is controlled by a control device (15). The control device (15) adjusts current fed to the electric motor (86) such that the rotation angle of the electric motor (86), which is detected by the rotation angle sensor (16), is maintained at a predetermined value, and calculates the rotation speed of the rotary shaft (11) on the basis of the waveform of the adjusted current.
