Abstract:
Provided is a cargo handling device that can suction packages one by one. A cargo handling device according to an embodiment comprises: a plurality of upper-surface suction units that suction the upper surface of a package; a side-surface suction unit that suctions the side surface of the package; a detection device that detects information on the upper surface of the package; a first movement device that moves the plurality of upper-surface suction units and the side-surface suction unit; a control unit; and a conveyor. The control unit selects an upper-surface suction unit to be used from among the plurality of upper-surface suction units on the basis of the information on the upper surface detected by the detection device, and controls the first movement device so that the upper surface is suctioned by the selected upper-surface suction unit and the side surface is suctioned by the side-surface suction unit. The package suctioned by the selected upper-surface suction unit and the side-surface suction unit and moved by the first movement device is loaded on the conveyor, and the conveyor moves the loaded package.
