Abstract:
The invention relates to a cartridge case adapter, which is used to fire shots with cartridges from a close-caliber weapon comprising a standard cartridge with a bottle-shaped case. Outwardly, the cartridge case adapter is almost identical in shape and dimensions to a standard cartridge, and is comprised of the following: a cartridge-case base (1,2) that includes a separate inclined base portion (2) and cartridge chamber partitions for the inserted cartridge (3), a breechblock (4), and a firing pin (5). The breechblock is attached to the base portion of the cartridge case adapter, and said breechblock and cartridge-case base are joined together by means of a screw joint (7). An adjusting shim (6) is disposed between the breechblock and the cartridge-case base. The firing pin is flat and moves lengthwise along the groove of the breechblock (4). If spin-charge cartridges are used on the protruding portion of the firing pin from the lateral side, a tapering (or rounding off) effect is produced in the direction of rotation.
