Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cartridge comprising: a mouthpiece for allowing a user to provide an inhaling force; a housing coupled to the mouthpiece to provide an air inlet path and a discharge path connecting the inlet path to a suction hole, and comprising a storage space for a liquid-phase cigarette material; a mixing chamber which is arranged to pass through the storage space, connects the inlet path to the discharge path, and comprises one or more liquid guide holes, which are in communication with the storage space, and a wick for covering the liquid guide holes and sucking up the liquid-phase cigarette material guided through the liquid guide holes; and a heater for heating the liquid-phase cigarette material guided into the mixing chamber. The heater comprises: a heating element for providing heat; and a heat transfer element which transfers heat from the heating element to the wick by accommodating some or the entirety of the heating element, and includes a rigid member to press a portion of the wick, the portion corresponding to the one or more liquid guide holes, such that the liquid-phase cigarette material of a set amount or more is prevented from leaking through the one or more liquid guide holes. According to the present invention, leakage of the liquid-phase cigarette material can be primarily reduced in the mixing chamber through which the liquid-phase cigarette material is supplied, and thus, various problems regarding hygiene of the electronic cigarette, minor malfunctions, etc. caused by the leakage can be solved. In addition, when the heat transfer element includes a ceramic material, the wick or the liquid-phase cigarette material sucked into the wick may not be easily combusted, and then, a gas-phase cigarette material which is not harmful to the human body and has rich flavors can be provided to the user.
