Abstract:
A catalyst for synthesis of aromatic hydrocarbons, the catalyst comprising a high-dispersion metal oxide material confined by an inert carrier, an acidic molecular sieve, and optionally at least one of a graphite powder and a dispersing agent; in the high-dispersion metal oxide material confined by an inert carrier, the inert carrier is at least one of silicon oxide and aluminum oxide, and the content of the metal oxide, calculated as metal, is less than or equal to 10 mass percent; and the acidic molecular sieve is selected from a modified acidic ZSM-5 molecular sieve, a modified acidic ZSM-11 molecular sieve, and the mixture thereof. When used in a process for direct preparation of paraxylene by reaction of syngas with toluene, the catalyst has a long lifetime, high selectivity for xylene, and can be recycled and reused.
