Abstract:
A catalyst for water gas shift reaction, characterized as comprising a metal oxide carrier and, carried thereon, platinum. This catalyst can be used for removing carbon monoxide in a hydrogen gas, particularly, as a catalyst for a water gas shift reaction which removes the carbon monoxide contained in a reformed gas in an electric power-generating system of a fuel cell. The catalyst can be used for removing carbon monoxide in a hydrogen gas with good efficiency over a wide range of temperature.
