Abstract:
Disclosed is a catalytic method for the controllable copolymerization of an epoxy and an isothiocyanate. By means of the present invention, the active controllable copolymerization of an epoxy and an isothiocyanate compound is achieved for the first time by using a metal-free catalyst, and a heterochain polymer containing a sulfur atom in the main chain is synthesized. Under the catalysis of a single-component organic base, the epoxy and the isothiocyanate can be subjected to strict alternating copolymerization to generate an alternating copolymer. A double (multiple) component catalyst constructed by using an organic base and a protic acid or Lewis acid can flexibly regulate and control the relative reactivity of the two monomers, and a heterochain copolymer having an alternating, random, gradient, tapered, or even blocked sequence structures is synthesized by means of a one-step or one-pot two-step reaction. An initiator containing active hydrogen can quantitatively initiate a polymerization reaction, so that the molecular weight, functionality and topological structure of the polymer can be accurately regulated and controlled.
