Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a catheter simulator which, with a simple configuration, enables improvement of catheter techniques for brain disease. [Solution] A catheter simulator comprises: a vessel 10; a cerebrovascular model 100 retained in a state of accommodating a liquid within the vessel; and a retaining means that is provided to a side wall of the vessel and to the cerebrovascular model, and that retains the cerebrovascular model in a liquid-filled state in the vessel. The invention is characterized in that: the retaining means is provided with a first retention unit 21 for retaining an end of an ascending aorta 101a of the cerebrovascular model, and a second retention unit 22 for retaining an end of a descending aorta 101 b of the cerebrovascular model; the first retention unit 21 is provided with a liquid inlet for introducing the liquid into the cerebrovascular model; the second retention unit 22 is provided with a catheter inlet for introducing a catheter into the cerebrovascular model; and openings 121, 122 for controlling the balance of liquid circulating inside the cerebrovascular model are formed in an outer shell 100A constituting the cerebrovascular model.
