Abstract:
An earth leakage detecting circuit (10) for detecting an earth leakage from a battery having a first electrode and a second electrode of the opposite polarity to a chassis is provided with a detecting circuit (5a) including a reference voltage source terminal (VR), a first detection terminal (In1), and a ground terminal (GND) connected to the first electrode, a first resistor (21) (or (28)) connected between the second electrode and the chassis, a second resistor (22) (or (27)) connected between the chassis and the first detection terminal (In1), and a third resistor (23) (or (26)) connected between the first detection terminal (In1) and a prescribed terminal, wherein: the prescribed terminal is the reference voltage source terminal (VR) if the polarity of the first electrode is positive; the prescribed terminal is the first electrode if the polarity of the first electrode is negative; and the detecting circuit (5a) detects the presence or absence of an earth leakage on the basis of the voltage of the first detection terminal (In1).
