Abstract:
A catheter including a tube (12) with a coupling assembly (30) at one end. The coupling assembly (30) has an interior volume within which a ball (24) is captured between a seat (22) and a retainer (26). When fluid flows through the catheter in a first directed the fluid flows around the ball (24) and exits through a port (20). When fluid starts to back-flow in a second direction the ball (24) seals against the seat (22) preventing flow in the second direction.
