Disclosed is a ceiling type air conditioner. The disclosed ceiling type air conditioner may comprise: a main body which can be installed on a ceiling including a first wall forming a ceiling surface and a second wall extending vertically from the first wall, wherein the main body includes a discharge port formed on the lower portion of the main body and a suction port formed on one side portion connecting the lower portion and the upper portion of the main body; a blowing fan disposed inside the main body and forcing air to flow such that the air is introduced into the suction port and discharged through the discharge port; a heat exchanger disposed inside the main body to exchange heat with air; a discharge panel covering the discharge port; and a ceiling forming cover exposed to a room when the main body is installed on the ceiling and provided to open and close a portion of the main body, wherein the ceiling forming cover includes a lower panel extending along the first wall of the ceiling to cover the lower portion of the main body in which the discharge port is formed, and a side panel extending along the second wall of the ceiling to cover the one side portion of the main body in which the suction port is formed.
