Abstract:
This cell catalyst composition includes a carbon catalyst granular body, and a resin binder, at least a portion of said resin binder including a resin (B) having a hydrophilic functional group. The carbon catalyst granular body is (i) obtained by binding together carbon catalyst (A) particles using at least the resin (B), and/or (ii) obtained by forming a sintered body of the carbon catalyst (A) particles to bind said particles together. The carbon catalyst (A) includes, as constituent elements, carbon, nitrogen, and a base metal. The average particle size of the carbon catalyst granular body is in the range of 0.5-100µm. The sphericity of the carbon catalyst granular body is at least 0.5.
