Abstract:
A cell evaluation device comprises: an acquisition unit for acquiring a cell image which shows a nerve cell having a cell body, an axon and dendrites; a first specification unit for specifying the axon in the cell image; a second specification unit for specifying spines emerging from the dendrites in the cell image; a selection unit for selecting, from among the spines specified by the second specification unit, a presumptive synaptic spine which is presumed to form a synapse together with the axon and close to the axon specified by the first specification unit; and a display control unit for controlling so that, in the cell image, the presumptive synaptic spine is displayed in a different mode from other spines.
