Abstract:
In a microscopic observation unit (10), when acquiring hologram data at various measurement positions on a cell culture plate (13) while a light source unit (11) or the like is moved by a moving part (15), a measuring-moment image creation unit (24) creates a thumbnail image by reducing the size of a hologram image based on original data (two-dimensional distribution of light intensity) every time when data is obtained at each of the measurement positions, and a display processing unit (25) pastes the respective obtained thumbnail images so as to sequentially complete a hologram image of the entire plate to be displayed on a display unit (27). When a measurer, after viewing the hologram image while measurement is being taken, determines that the measurement is not properly performed, the measurer presses a measurement stop button to abort measurement immediately. By this configuration, when there is a flaw in measurement such as contamination of a foreign object in a sample, it becomes possible to abort measurement without having to wait until a phase image or an intensity image is reconstructed at a server at the completion of all measurements on the basis of hologram data, and thereby to avoid spending time on a futile measurement.
