Abstract:
The present disclosure describes methods, apparatus and devices for registration of a user equipment 102 in a communication network. According to some embodiments, the user equipment 102 performs an attempt to camp on a first preferred cell 108 in a first tracking area 130 by sending a registration request to a control node 200. The control node 200 in response to the first registration request sends a first rejection response comprising a first reject cause. On receiving the first rejection response from the control node 200 when the first preferred cell belongs to an Equivalent Public Land Mobile Network (EPLMN) or Equivalent Home Public Land Mobile Network (EHPLMN), the user equipment 102 blocks the first preferred cell 108 for further attempts for a preconfigured time and performs an attempt to camp on a second preferred cell 110 in the first tracking 130 area and sends a second registration request to the control node 200.
