Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a cell strainer which can prevent contamination and external environmental pollution. [Solution] A cell strainer 1 is configured so as to allow outflow of a fluid into a tube through a filter 4, or allow inflow of a fluid in the tube through the filter 4, by a pipetting operation when the cell strainer 1 is engaged with the tube. The cell strainer 1 is also configured such that when the cell strainer 1 is engaged with the tube, the entire filter 4 is positioned inside the tube. The cell strainer 1 has formed therein a tip-engaging hole 28 into which the leading end of a pipette tip 2 is pressed and inserted, and has a flow path 36 formed inside the cell strainer 1 so as to be connected to the tip-engaging hole 28. The filter 4 has a plurality of openings having similar shapes so that the inside of the flow path 36 is connected with the internal space of the tube, and is configured to filter out materials larger than the openings among materials in the fluid.
