Abstract:
The present invention provides a center-type mouthpiece for the oral protection of a patient under dental anesthesia, wherein the center-type mouthpiece is made to be temporarily bitten by the maxilla and the mandible around the front teeth before the anesthesia completely wears off after a dental treatment, and thus can protect the lips, tongue, and cheeks from being unconsciously bitten in a state in which the anesthesia has not completely worn off. More specifically, the center-type mouthpiece comprises: a handle portion; a blocking plate which is integrated with the handle portion, prevents the handle portion from entering the oral cavity, and comes into contact with the surface of the lips; a lip occlusal portion which is integrated connected from the blocking plate and comes into contact with the upper lip and the lower lip; a teeth occlusal portion which is integrated with the lip occlusal portion and formed as a curved surface similar to the arrangement of the teeth, and is engaged by a certain range of the maxilla and the mandible around the front teeth; a tongue protection wall which is formed as a single surface extending from the teeth occlusal portion toward the oral cavity and prevents the tongue from being bitten by the teeth; and an oral protection wall which is integrated with the teeth occlusal portion and formed at a position opposite the tongue protection portion, and which can prevent the cheeks and the inner and lower lips of the oral cavity from being bitten by the teeth.
