Abstract:

A centrifugal blood pump device (1) is provided with a housing (20), a centrifugal pump section (2) which has an impeller (21) rotated within the housing (20) and sending blood by a centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the impeller, an impeller's rotational torque generation section (3) which attracts magnetic bodies (25) of the impeller and rotates the impeller (21), and dynamic pressure grooves which are provided in the inner surface of the housing (20) which is located on the impeller's rotational torque generation section (3) side. The side walls (52) of each of the dynamic pressure grooves are formed as sloped side walls (52) sloped obliquely in such a manner that the dynamic pressure groove expands from the bottom surface (53) thereof toward the opening surface thereof.
