Abstract:
This titanium carbide cermet decorative component has an oxygen content and nitrogen content of 2.0 mass% or less, respectively, and thereby has low color variation. In an embodiment of the cermet decorative component, the lightness factor L* in the CIE1976:*a*b* color space is 72-74, the psychometric chroma coordinate a* is 1-2, and the psychometric chroma coordinate b* is 0-1 on the surface having an arithmetic mean roughness Ra of 0.03 μm or less on a roughness curve.
