Abstract:
The present invention performs more efficient charging of power generated by means of a solar cell. A start-up determining circuit (4) does not monitor an unstable output voltage transmitted from a solar cell (1), but the circuit has a maximum output current flow from the solar cell (1) to GND potential, and starts up a charge control circuit (3) after detecting that the output current is equivalent to a consumption current of the charge control circuit (3) or more. Therefore, compared with the case where the output voltage is monitored, the charge control circuit (3) can be started up more accurately under the conditions of operating the charge control circuit (3) merely with a quantity of power generated by means of the solar cell. Consequently, the power generated by means of the solar cell can be used by charging a power apparatus (2) more efficiently with the power generated by means of the solar cell.
