Abstract:
A charge control device (51) is applied to a system (10) comprising a rechargeable storage battery (30), and a charger (31) for supplying power to the storage battery, and controls execution and stopping of charging of the storage battery from the charger. This charge control device is provided with: a temperature information acquisition unit that acquires temperature information of a storage battery; a calculation unit that calculates a SOC upper limit value of the storage battery such that the value decreases as the temperature of the storage battery calculated on the basis of the temperature information becomes higher; a SOC information acquisition unit that acquires SOC information of the storage battery; a SOC determination unit that determines whether or not the SOC calculated on the basis of the SOC information reaches the SOC upper limit value; and a stopping unit that, when the SOC is determined to have reached the SOC upper limit value, stops charging of the storage battery from a charger until the temperature of the storage battery becomes lower than a stop cancel temperature which is lower than the temperature of the storage battery at a time point when the SOC is determined to have reached the SOC upper limit value.
