Abstract:
This charger for a portable battery is provided with: a stage (8) on which a portable battery (45) used for an electric vehicle can be placed; a terminal (9) that is provided to a position opposed to a position on the side of the stage (8) where the battery 45 is to be placed in a state where the battery (45) is not placed on the stage (8); and a protection part (12) that protects the terminal (9) in the state where the battery (45) is not placed on the stage (8). The stage (8) is provided with a terminal opening (80) which opens at a place corresponding to the terminal (9). The protection part (12) covers the terminal opening (80) in the state where the battery (45) is not placed on the stage (8), and exposes the terminal opening (80) by the protection part (12) moving in conjunction with the stage (8) when the battery (45) is placed on the stage (8).
